10 Glamorous UK New Year's Eve Parties

sushisamba New Year's Eve is almost upon us. Tickets to some of the country's best events are selling faster than you can say FOMO, and the prospect of an evening in with a snoring boyfriend and Jools Holland's Hootenanny just won't cut it this year. But it's not all doom and gloom, and thanks to DesignMyNight, you'll be happy to hear there's still a load of options to get stuck into. These are the UK's most glamorous New Year's Eve parties.

1. The 2016 London New Year's Eve Ball at Battersea Evolution- London

Battersea Park welcomes Carnivale throughout the whole of December, but saves their largest and most important fiesta until the 31st. You'll be greeted by the sound of pounding tribal drums as well as jaw-dropping entertainers and acrobats along a vibrant favela themed street. You'll be spoilt to a sumptuous four course banquet with unlimited house beer and wines before you ooh and ahh at the live broadcast of the spectacular River Thames firework display. If you're feeling like your New Year luck is in, have a flutter at the pop-up casino, get a little boisterous on the dodgems or scoot over to the dancefloor where DJs will keep you moving until 3am.

2. Great Gatsby: New Year's at Hockwold Hall - Cambridge

Cambridge's take on the Great Gatsby is fast looking like one of this year's best buys. At £75 a ticket, you'll be treated to an evening of unforgettable decadence in the huge estate of former royal residents. There will be a delicious three course meal on offer at this regal Tudor manor, the highlight being the Great Gatsby Trio dessert, before live bands and DJs take to the floor. Costume dress is encouraged, so think flapper, think fine, and think fancy.

3. New Year's Eve at Keystone Crescent - London

Usually a members' club, this suave, Cold War-inspired north London haunt opens its door to the public this New Year's Eve with arms wide open. For just £95 you'll be treated to an evening of unlimited food, wine, Prosecco and a choice of six specially curated cocktails. Drooling yet? And - whilst a heady evening lies ahead of you - the most challenging part of your night will be locating this elusive basement bar in the first place. Before you set off you'll be sent a top secret email containing some very important information. Once you've found the door you'll need to make sure no Soviet spy has followed you, then punch your newly acquired details into the keypad and begin on a seriously indulgent evening...

4. New York New York at Proud - Brighton

Stanmer House is fast making the Proud Group responsible for some of Brighton's finest parties, and they're sure to not disappoint this New Year's Eve. West End favourites Paul Spicer and Matt Firth will be bringing a taste of the Big Apple to the south coast as they utilise all of the charm locked in this staggering Grade I listed building. You'll be taken on a journey of immersive jazz, swing and Sinatra classics before you tuck into an extravagant three-course meal in a giant marquee, then greet the New Year with an enormous balloon drop.

5. New Year's Eve at Sushisamba - London

Nab a ticket for this skyhigh party, hop in that lift and don't dare look down. Sushisamba will be doing what they do best on December 31st by infusing cultures from across the world at their City of London stronghold. Embrace and enjoy the indulgent Reveillon tradition by donning your finest white attire as samba dancers, live bands and trendy DJs come together to celebrate not only New Year's Eve, but also the Brazilian Goddess of the Ocean, Yemenja, with an unmissable celestial candlelight offering.

6. New Year's Eve at Duck & Waffle - London

duck-and-waffle If you've got an appetite for enduring glamour and a life of bright lights, you'll want to get yourself down (or up) to Duck & Waffle's fabulous New Year's Eve party on the 40th floor of the Heron Tower. Not only does this delectable restaurant have stunning views of the capital, it will also be hosting an evening drenched in 1920's sophistication. Throw on a head-turning frock, nibble on an appetising variety of fish, meat, veggie and dessert canapes, then twist those heels to the iconic sound of jazz band, Speakeasy, at this prohibition themed soiree.

7. Willy Wonka-Style All Inclusive Party at Three Six Six - London

The creative kick coming out of the Three Six Six mixology lab is constantly lauded as one of the finest in the capital. They've entire menus dedicated to the five different types of taste as well as a NSFW fantasy and fetish collection. On New Year's Eve they'll be hosting an all-inclusive, magical Willy Wonka inspired party; chocolate fanatic or not, this is one party you don't want to miss out on. You'll be treated to free-flowing bubbly, beers and an array of indulgent tapas in a wonderfully transformed venue, making this one of the finest (and merriest) ways to see in 2017.

8. NYE Masquerade Ball at Dirty Martini - Cardiff

Having only opened their doors earlier this year, Dirty Martini have wasted no time in getting to grips with Cardiff's nightlife scene, and will be hosting a sublime masquerade ball on December 31st. DJs will set the tone, spinning your favourite chart toppers, club classics and dance anthems until 3am. And get this, tickets will only set you back £15. But, if you want to go all out, you can upgrade to one of their premium packages to give your night an exclusive edge. However you decide to see in the new year at Dirty Martini, just make sure it's from behind the guise of the most sultry, mysterious mask.

9. Great Gatsby Party at The Fitzgerald - Manchester

This atmospheric drinking den is not only one of Manchester's finest hidden gems, but arguably also the most fitting spot in the country for a Great Gatsby Party; and we're not just referring to the bar's namesake homage. Tasty tipples served in timeless antique drinking vessels are the name of the game here, and their unique retro-inspired space will be transformed into a heady party spot come New Year's Eve, fronting electro swing, jazz and plenty of 1920's pizzazz. You'll receive Prosecco on arrival and be welcomed into an evening of golden-age glamour and debauchery.

10. The High Society Club at Mechu - Birmingham

mechu Get practicing your charleston and foxtrot because you'll be hopping back to a bygone era when you step into Mechu, one of Birmingham's classiest joints. A ticket to this Jewellery Quarter soiree will have you greeted by flapper gals and entertained by professional dancers, as well as a live saxophonist. You'll be invited to tuck into a (much needed) special 2017 canape menu once the clock strikes twelve, and be able to get your mitts on a selection of Gatsby inspired cocktails over the course of the evening. But, if you still weren't sold, there will be champagne fountains to drink from, as well as live music and DJs to keep you dancing until the New Year sun begins to rise.
