Ten Amazing Things to Do in March

Denim n Dine The lull of January and February is finally over, March is upon us alongside the urge to buy a new dress. Personally, we don't think you need an excuse to spoil yourself, but in case you need a little convincing, we called on our friends at DesignMyNight to give us the low-down on March's hottest events. From dining in the dark to sipping champers at a chic afternoon tea, there's a plethora of events across the country giving glamorous girlies the perfect excuse to get dressed up. Silent Sounds Boat Party Silent Sounds are hosting a spectacular silent disco aboard the Dutch Master; a two-storey party boat that boasts a bar on each deck. Alongside floating past London's iconic landmarks, you can look forward to being the master of the night's playlist. With plenty of channels to choose from and a spacious dance floor, it's about time you started rounding up the troops. It's going to be one of this month's hottest events. Dine in the Dark Imagine your typical night out; you've chosen the perfect outfit and you're locking lips with the fanciest cocktail on the menu - except this time, you're in complete darkness. Pitch Black has returned to London and they're inviting you to a multi-sensory drinks experience like no other. You'll sip hand-crafted cocktails and a variety of wines (with an amuse bouche to clean your palette in-between) in a tantalising taste test. Welcomed with a glass of bubbly and shown to your seat straight away, you needn't worry about tripping in your heels. This unique evening is perfect for date night, or a fun evening with your girlfriends. Dining in the Dark Cocktails in the City Cocktail connoisseurs need to nab a ticket to Cocktails in the City; a night dedicated to those sensational creations we all know and love. Tickets are ¬£15, and include a welcome cocktail, a cocktail booklet with everything you need to know about the event and plenty of show experiences. This is the perfect excuse to get dressed up with your girlfriends and enjoy elaborate concoctions by some of the world's best bartenders. Held in a beautiful Grade I listed building, you'll have plenty of opportunities to dominate your Instagram feed. Chic Afternoon Tea at Map Maison Getting dressed up, sipping on fizz and nibbling miniature delights are just some of the joys of afternoon tea. But if you want to go really glam this March, head to east London for Map Mansion's chic afternoon tea. The retro tiling, quirky vintage armchairs and dim lighting make for the perfect backdrop to a relaxed evening. Their carefully curated afternoon tea menu is nothing short of spectacular too; expect exquisite teas, a tantalising selection of caprese, mini brioche and to die for salted caramel macarons. Go for their ¬£20 ticket option - it includes a glass of champagne. Map Maison Denim n' Dine Supper Club Treat yourself to an evening of fabulousness this March and get a ticket for pop-up restaurant, Denim ‘n' Dine. Brought to you by Michelin-trained chef, Pedro Passinhas, you can expect a six-course meal of quirky and delicate dishes, and a list of exquisite wines to match. Bear in mind that this is no ordinary dinner setting this intimate evening will take place in a denim workshop, a place we know you fashion savvy ladies will appreciate. The idea was born from communal dining, so dress to impress - you never know who you could meet at this classy event. Slide Back into the 1920's at The Vaults - Birmingham Muster together your finest 1920's gladrags; the Vaults are throwing a 1920's spectacle and under no circumstances are you to miss it. All in aid of homeless charity St Basil's, this sleek Birmingham joint will turn into a roaring Peaky Blinders' party scene from the hit TV series. It's set to be a dazzling affair with live entertainment, a 1920's themed fashion show, a polaroid photo booth, illicit gambling, tarot readings and a special cast appearance. French Fine Dining at The Tempest Inn - Brighton Whatever you do this March, make sure you catch SuperDoux at The Tempest Inn. For one night only, Brighton's much-loved seafront boozer will be transformed into a vegan French Bistro. The French-inspired menu will be entirely vegan; expect the likes of faux gras, plante au vin and vegan chocolate mousse winking at you from the pages of the menu. The creator, Sophie, will also share her vegan cooking tips, tricks and inspiration for her food on the night. You'll also get a goody bag brimming with recipes and French sweets when it's time to call it a night. With tickets costing ¬£27, it's an absolute steal. Shhh Maman Le Mot After something a little different this March? Head to Shhh Maman Le Mot, an immersive experience that will take you back to the days of 1943. Wear your finest French attire (or a little black dress) and follow the tricolour sign outside to a "secret bunker”, where your night's shenanigans will begin. After being recruited by the French Resistance and showing them your best French accent, your evening will continue with a three-course French Bistro inspired meal. After you make your way through the 1940's style cocktails on offer, head to the cabaret Moulin Rouge style party; it stays open until 2am. Bottomless Brunch at Rosylee - Manchester If you're an advocate of bottomless brunch, head to Rosylee this March. Offering all of your usual suspect dishes, choose from the likes of a classic full English or eggs benedict to curb your hunger. Drinks wise, you can go bottomless on either buck's fizz, bloody marys or beer for ¬£12.50, but if you're feeling the fizz, there's a free-flowing prosecco option for ¬£15. Brunch is available on both Saturday and Sunday. Gin Experience With Lunch - Glasgow Gin loving ladies; there's a gin tasting experience and lunch event in Glasgow and your name is written all over it. Head to the charming and sophisticated Chardon d'Or restaurant, where your evening will kick off with a refreshing G&T. With a selection of gins, served in various ways to bring out the best of their unique flavours, you're guaranteed to learn a thing or two at this decedent event. After your gin expert has given you the low-down on the distillation methods, as well as demonstrating the perfect serve, head upstairs to enjoy a two-course lunch curated by award-winning chef Brian Maule.
