Your July Event Guide from Design My Night

Not that you need an excuse to purchase yet another sultry number to wear out on the town; but since the summer season has officially kicked off, we got in contact with DesignMyNight to get the lowdown on this month's hottest events. There's everything from sky-high brunches to cute alfresco cinema screenings to keep you busy throughout July. Make sure taht you're properly dressed- take a look at the cocktail dresses edit for a little retail therapy. You deserve it!

Sushisamba Kick-start your summer on the 39th floor of the Heron Tower at Sushisamba. You'll be greeted with a cocktail on arrival, before taking your seat for a sumptuous brunch. The main event kicks off at 12.30pm with London's hottest DJs spinning the latest beats, plus a headline performance from the new kid on the block, Jolyon, to follow. You'll also get a chance to pair your dazzling outfit with the hottest shades for the summer, as Taylor Morris Eyewear will be on hand to give you a sneak peak of their new summer collection.

The Roof Gardens The Roof Gardens are determined to give you a memorable summer with their delectable afternoon tea in the sky. There will be a host of tasty treats to delight your taste buds, as well as some tongue-tingling teapot cocktails for a quaint twist. If you're looking for an excuse to grab your girlfriends and splash out on a summer party dress, this it it. Their Tudor and Spanish gardens are breathtakingly beautiful; and if you're lucky, you might even spot a flamingo or two.

 Roxx on the Roof Following two successful summers of rooftop madness, Roxx on the Roof are back with another roster of electric party tunes, and a host of events to make your summer absolutely spectacular. You'll be happy to hear that their signature Roxxstar Skull will be making a comeback, and there will be some new tipples to quench those cocktail cravings. With a jacuzzi on site, special after-party connections, and a summer pass setting you back just £25, this is going to be a prime spot for those warmer days.

Absolutely Fabulous Boat Party To celebrate the release of the highly-anticipated Absolutely Fabulous movie, The Glam Clam invites you to board The Good Ship Benefit for an evening of outrageous drag queen performances, live music and cracking cocktails. They've also enlisted the help of Benefit cosmetics to help create eccentric makeovers on the night. £20 guarantees you entry and a complimentary cocktail upon arrival, whilst £50 will allow you to take advantage of the full dining experience. Sounds fabulous darling.

 The Nomad Cinema The Nomad Cinema will be popping up in various spots around London this summer. They're going to be showcasing everything from the much-loved classic The Jungle Book, to the hilarious female ensemble comedy Bridesmaids. You'll find yourself in some seriously stunning locations (get your camera ready for plenty of Insta-worthy snaps). It's the perfect excuse to buy a dazzling outfit and gather your ladies for the ultimate girls' night out.

 Once Upon a Time - Brighton Experience something truly immersive with Brighton's latest pop-up, Once Upon a Time on Something Street. You'll find yourself in any number of decades; you could be in the war-torn 40s one minute, or the start of the millennium the next. It's up to you to untangle the mystery and connect the threads linking the sets together. If you start to feel a little ravenous, check out the food court where some sizzling delights are guaranteed to eliminate your hunger; or head down to ‘Something Beach' and indulge in some zesty summer cocktails.

 Birmingham Rum Festival - Birmingham Love rum? Yes? Then you need to venture to Birmingham's first-ever Rum Festival. With over 120 rums to sample, and a plethora of exotic and experimental cocktails, you'll be spoilt for choice. Make sure you wear your dancing shoes though; there's going to be plenty of cracking reggae and salsa beats to keep you on your feet.

 Cocktails at Red Door - Manchester Love finding out about new cocktail bars? The Red Door has recently opened its doors in Deansgate. Descend the stairs of The Botanist bar to discover a cool and quirky drinking den, where enticing cocktail concoctions will satisfy all your drinking needs. If you're stuck for weekend inspiration, then slip into a glamorous little black dress for an evening of mixology and live music at Manchester's newest haunt.
