Team LBD meets Temporary Secretary

This week Team LBD sat down with Sarah of Temporary Secretary, one of the UK's top fashion and style blogs and 2011's winner of Look Magazine's Best Blog to find how she entered the world of bling and blogging, what her body hang-ups are and whose LBD wardrobe she's coveting past and present...

How did Temporary Secretary start?

It began when I started my jewellery business and I wanted a blog to document what it was like to have a small business. I didn't feel inspired by it, so changed it in to a more personal blog. Like with most girls, I have a passion for fashion, so this was the direction I took the blog in to.

What is it you most love about fashion blogging? I love the blogging community. When I first started, I had no idea that everyone is so tight-knit and the support that you get from the other girls is so overwhelming. I also love being giving the opportunities to work with awesome brands such as Little Black Dress! Where do you get your style inspiration? I am inspired by real people and my surroundings. I am one of these people who could sit on a bench and ‘people watch' all day. I am observant of other girls fashion sense, and I am more inspired by real women rather than celebrities. That's probably why I love blogs so much.

Who is your LBD icon and why? I have two! Audrey Hepburn is my ultimate LBD icon. She is the first person to come to mind when I think of the little black dress, especially in her role as Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany's. Such an iconic figure. However, for the modern times, I think Daisy Lowe can rock an LBD with attitude! What do you love about the little black dress? It can go with any occasion! It's smart, chic, and sophisticated, and it has the power to make you feel really good about yourself. A quality LBD is empowering! What is your favourite product from Littleblackdress.co.uk? I have to say that it's the Quontum Black Vest Cup Dress, £45. I was lacking this classic dress in my life, I don't usually go for bodycons because I'm not confident enough to wear it but I am so incredibly pleased to have this in my wardrobe andI've worn it so much since it arrived and I know it will my favourite for years to come! It's a perfect fit and the quality is amazing. Don't forget to check out Temporary Secretary's blog post for Littleblackdress.co.uk where the fabulous fashionista tried out her dream Quontum dress!
