Inspired by: Alexa Taylor - Monaco GP Edition

As part of our series featuring inspiring women in creative industries, we've interviewed stylist and fashion columnist Alexa Taylor. Alexa regularly travels the world working with different brands (not to mention partying with the rich and famous!) and formerly styled for Harvey Nichols. Last week, she attended the Little Black Dress-sponsored Monaco Grand Prix launch party and fashion show hosted by Amber Lounge. The beautiful Monaco coastline What do you love most about your job? Doing what I love to do. I love style, colour, variety and to travel, and my job gives me all of these. It is great watching the live runway shows in different cities, meeting with designers in their ateliers as well as spending time on set and out on location. As a successful woman, who do you look up to most and why? I am inspired by positive and successful women all the time. Oprah is a great role model and businesswoman. Alexa at the Amber Lounge event What is the best place you've ever travelled to for work? Last year I worked on a production and our set was the Atlantic Ocean - this was incredible. The best place ever is New York, it's one of my favourite cities. What is your favourite thing about Monaco? It's the glamour and the yacht soirees. Monaco is unique, the atmosphere in Monte Carlo over the F1 weekend is fantastic, people jet in from all over the world for the Grand Prix. Osman's collection at the Amber Lounge fashion show What was the best event you attended over the weekend? The F1 opening party and fashion show hosted by Amber Lounge was a lot of fun. The night started with a floating catwalk show with a gorgeous collection from British designer Osman. F1 racing drivers wore suits by Aspley Tailors on the runway and Amber Lounge served Champagne and dinner just after sunset before the evening party started. What's the most outrageous thing you've seen happen at a party? Champagne being sprayed everywhere as artists played music and acrobats flew across the deck on Flavio Briatore's Yacht - it was the wildest party I have ever been to. More from Osman's collection Who is your ultimate glamorous style icon? Audrey Hepburn. What is the best fine dining you've ever eaten and where? Seafood at Hotel du Cap Eden Roc; everything tasted divine, and the setting had a stunning sea view. The Amber Lounge champagne dinner Who is your favourite designer for glamorous dresses?
