Alesha Dixon's debut fashion collection has now launched, exclusively created for Little Black Dress!

Last night in the glamorous setting of the Hotel CafÉ Royal on Regent Street, London, Little Black Dress celebrated their biggest event to date alongside members of press, key fashion bloggers and glamorous celebrities. With plenty of Champagne and especially created LBD cocktails, the evening was enjoyed by all as we unveiled the most desirable new season party dresses from our premium brands and exclusive own-label Little Black Dress Collection. However, that wasn't the only cause for celebration. We had some other exciting news to share too ‚ singer, dancer and Britain's Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon will be joining Team LBD!

Attending Little Black Dress's party last night, the gorgeous Alesha looked stunning in the Jourdan dress, £75, from the new Little Black Dress party collection, showing off those enviable pins and working a subtle sequin detail ahead of the imminent festive season.

IMG_7603Team LBD is elated that Alesha is coming on board to give her unique style perspective to Little Black Dress, plus we can reveal that work has commenced on her own line of dresses, exclusive to LittleBlackDress.co.uk. Her very first foray into the fashion industry, Alesha will be taking a very hands-on approach to her involvement and collection, which will consist of party-ready dresses all the way up to runway-worthy gowns and will make its debut in early February 2016.

Martini

We caught up with Alesha over a glass of Champagne to chat style, charity work and dresses, of course.

"I always say that the dress should be the icing on the cake," she said with a big smile. We think we're going to get along with Alesha just fine.

Explaining why she took the leap into fashion design, "I've been asked to do dress lines in the past and they've never appealed to me. To me it's 'What makes one dress stand out from another?' and I think what makes Little Black Dress special is that they're trying to make a lifestyle brand for women."

Dresses

But it's not just creating her own line she's looking forward to. Little Black Dress will also be supporting a charity close to Alesha's heart ‚Refuge ‚which supports women and children who have been victims of domestic violence.

"It's such a taboo subject," she said turning serious. "One in four women are experiencing domestic violence as we speak so Refuge's work is so important. Having such a big fashion brand like Little Black Dress supporting something like that, it's a match made in heaven. It's wonderful."

Misc-2

We've come to know Alesha as not only a great singer and performer, but a sophisticated and passionate woman with a great sense of style. "My personal style is out there, it's quite bold, it's colourful, it's edgy, it's loud," she grinned. " It's really about balancing that with what women want to wear, but giving it that Alesha edge.

"I get to create something from scratch and be 100% involved. It's such a blessing to be able to do that ‚ it's every girl's dream."

Prince-Cassius

Other guests at Little Black Dress's glamorous bash included Made in Chelsea's Rosie Fortescue, who looks fabulous in feathers in the LBD Collection Audrey dress, £120, whilst E! television presenter Prince Cassius didn't disappoint with his signature up-do (that has taken on certain new dimensions since last year, we note). Miss Great Britain Zara Holland looked every part the princess in the LBD Collection Kristen dress, £120, whilst bloggers and press galore turned out championing their favourite styles from Little Black Dress.

With lashings of bubbles, great music, fabulous guests and amazing dresses of course, we're proud to say the night was a resounding success.
