Kate Beckinsale looked more chic than geek at Comic-Con's 36th annual convention

Comic-Con is an international, non-profit organisation that aims to raise awareness and increase appreciation for comics and other related art forms, which, celebrated their 36th event this year. It wasn't the graphic novels which had all the comic book geeks' pulses racing, rather it was the drop-dead-gorgeous Kate Beckinsale's sassy, saucy and chic LBD. Whilst wannabe Superheroes drooled over the glamorous starlet, only wishing she were their damsel in distress in need of rescue, Ms. Beckinsale joined a discussion panel about her up and coming film, 'Total Recall' with fellow actress, Jessica Biel. 'Total Recall' will be released in 2012 and is an exciting hybrid of action, Sci-Fi and adventure starring bad boy, Colin Farrell - bonafide man candy, even if he is a little rough round the edges! Kate was oozing sophistication in a (very) mini LBD from Tibi's Spring 2011 collection. This dress is typical of the collection which features simple, casual lines, three-quarter length sleeves and high-cut, round necks. Very smooth fabrics and block colours are key signatures within this collection, which provides the perfect foundation for your outfit. Kate dressed up her uncomplicated design with an on-trend leather waistbelt and some satin, Brian Atwood pumps - a good way to bring a simple style up to speed. However, you could kick off the heels and go for some embellished gladiator sandals or a pair of ankle boots instead for a classy but casual daytime look. If your Spring wardrobe is in serious need of a geek to chic make over then have a look at the editors selection below for some ideas on how to emulate Kate's admirable style.
