The diary of a fashion editor: Hershey Pascual meets Lucy Mecklenburgh
Ever wanted to know what it's really like to meet the celebrities you see on TV and what actually goes on behind the fashion scenes? Well Team LBD were lucky enough to meet the wonderful Fashion Editor of OK! Online, Hershey Pascual at our LBD Collection launch party, and immediately we knew we had to share her fabulous fashion antics. Not only is she on the guestlist for all the fashion industry parties but she's got her thumb on the pulse of all the latest celebrity gossip too. So from a real perspective, here's Hershey's first guest post installment... A few weeks ago I was asked to meet former TOWIE beauty Lucy Mecklenburgh for the launch of her new fragrance called Wings at London’s Dorchester hotel. Before the stylish event, I had my hair quickly styled by Toni & Guy at Office Shoes’ press event. They made my long unruly hair into a glamorous chic retro style 50’s bob. I really loved the transformation and it’s a perfect quick fix to get a gorgeous party hairdo in just 30 minutes. I first met Lucy when she was dating her ex-boyfriend, Strictly Come Dancing contestant, Mark Wright. I styled her half-naked body in sexy lingerie for a photo shoot with Mark for Star magazine whilst I was a fashion editor there a few years ago. I thought she had an enviable figure then and she certainly still does. The 23-year-old looked suitably glam for the occasion launching her first fragrance. All eyes were on the star as she dazzled in a white crepe Suzanne Neville gown with fitted bodice and sash detail. The gown fitted perfectly nipping into her curves whilst looking elegant and almost bridal. Her look fitted well with the theme resembling butterflies wings and she paired her beautiful dress with a pair of beautiful nude Aruna Seth heels. Not only has the ex-TOWIE star set up her own clothing boutique, but her fitness company is going from strength to strength (literally) and now with the launch of her own perfume she’s a woman on a mission! Lucy said: “It's a dream come true to have my own fragrance. As a little girl growing up I could never imagine having my own perfume.” She added: “I’ve worked really hard on it for months and I’m really proud of it, it smells gorgeous and the butterfly bottle is adorable.” Gethin Jones’ ex said that the bottle representing wings symbolises new beginnings. It’s a really sweet, fruity and floral fragrance. So if that’s up your street buy this delicious scent. Top notes include tangerine, nectarine, blackcurrant and bergamot. Heart notes are freesia, jasmine and gardenia and base notes are patchouli, vanilla and musk. Wings Eau de Parfum costs £24.99 from www.lucyfragrances.co.uk.
