There were parties and premieres all over the place this week, giving everyone an excuse to get all dressed up. Autumn winter’s main trends were well represented with Hilary Swank dazzling the crowds in bright white, actress Dakota Fanning in a dramatic red number and Keira Knightly reminding us all that lace is still a perfect way to have fun with our embellished obsession. Take note for your winter party wardrobe inspiration...

Ladies in Red

Red was certainly the colour of choice in London this week. Up and coming British actress Lily Collins looked stunning at the premiere for her new film Love Rosie at the Odeon West End on Monday, the high neckline a fabulous contrast to the cheeky cut outs on the waist. The next evening model Erin O’Connor attended watch makers IWC Schaffenhausen’s VIP Gala Dinner wearing a truly fabulous drop waist ball gown by Roksanda Ilincic, her distinctive rock and roll style showing through in her accessories, hair and makeup. Dakota Fanning also dazzled in red on Sunday, in a nineties inspired suede fringed Valentino midi dress to the premier of Effie Grey at the Curzon Mayfair. The bright colour looks great against her pale complexion and the matching lipstick is the perfect finishing touch, oh and a pair of nude Valentino heels don't hurt either! All White in Hollywood

While red was all over London, in LA it was all about white. Hilary Swank was the embodiment of ladylike in a Nicholas Oakwell dress on Wednesday at the Landmark Theatre in LA for the premier of You’re Not You. The subtle floral applique detail finished off the A-list look and her sleek swept back hairstyle is one of the key looks this season.  Across the city on the same day, Gywneth Paltrow also wore white, showing off her tan in a Roland Mouret dress at the Hollywood Costume Exhibition Launch. We love the peek a boo mesh panels in this dress. Make like Hollywood’s finest and check out our edit of white dresses.

It's All in the Detail

Victoria’s Secret Angel Karlie Kloss flaunted her impossibly long legs in a Michael Kors embellished mini dress to the National Theatre Gala in New York on Monday: her barely there make up is key to this seasons over the top embellishment. The night before Diane Kruger opted for embroidery rather than sequins to the premier for The Affair, also in New York; the silvery white is a perfect contrast against the black fabric and is just as effective as glitter could ever be. Find your perfect embellished dress here.  Back in London, Keira Knightly reminds us how good she looks in period costume in this vintage style Valentino gown to the premiere for The Imitation Game on Wednesday. Layers of lace and statement earrings are the epitome of a very British kind of glamour. Follow Keira’s example with one of our hand picked lace dresses.

The LBD Party

Our own LBD party was a huge success this week and we couldn’t resist showing you some of our favourite looks from the night! Danielle Peazer looked every bit the supermodel in our Kate Moss inspired dress; we love the original addition of the sleeveless duster coat. We had a lovely time with Georgia Horsley, looking sleek and sophisticated in our Jessica dress, and Giovanna Fletcher, pretty as can be in Chi Chi London’s Mikayla dress. We got serious clutch envy while chatting to Lucy Watson, who looked absolutely gorgeous in our Gemma dress. Shop all dresses here or check out what went on at our LBD London party here.
