Feeling Feminine: An interview with presenter and blogger Electra Formosa

Blogger, presenter, stylist and fashionista, there seem to be no end to the many talents of the gorgeous Electra Formosa! She's been in the fashion industry for nearly ten years and during that time has presented for the Disney Channel, styled for Channel 4 shows and now lives the American dream in LA blogging her way through beautiful clothes and creating fabulous style videos. Her style is undoubtedly girly with a sophisticated finish, so who better to talk to about feminine style?! And as we believe it's important to feel as great as how you look on your special night out, we created a new way of shopping - by how you want to feel: whether you want to feel glamorous, classic, sexy feminine or unique you can. And to celebrate this nifty new shopping style we asked our five favourite fashion bloggers to reveal more about their individual party mood. Last but certainly not least we chat to Electra Formosa about her feminine style...

Describe your party style…

I would describe my party style as definitely feminine and chic but with a little edge. I love super girly dresses and anything fun and playful....I try not to take it too seriously!

How does your sense of style make you feel?

Your sense of style is the first thing people notice when they meet you and I think my feminine look definitely shows that off. I love the way a great fitting pretty dress can make you feel amazing! Below Electra wears The LBD Collection Carrie dress, £70. electra formosa

Who are your feminine style icons?

I love Katy Perry's girl power attitude and I love the way she wears exactly what she wants and isn't led by trend. She is having fun and look's great doing so! I also think E! Entertainment TV Presenter Catt Sadler always looks really well pulled together and feminine.

Give us your top five tips for dressing femininely...

- Go for shapes that show off you figure best - Flirty details like a flowy aline skirt or a frill are sure to add that feminine touch - Accessorise with delicate jewellery, don't go for anything too chunky - Don't be afraid to add that edgy touch like a fitted leather jacket or studded clutch. I love juxtaposing that nice and naughty girl in all of us! - Be confident in what you are wearing...confidence is the best accessory you own!

What are your top five feminine style picks from Little Black Dress?

Ukuele Pop dress in Magenta, was £181, now £126, Chi Chi London Hettie Dress, £47.99, Forever Unique Cordellia Dress, £410, Forever Unique Shola Dress, £225, HMH Couture Anneka Dress in Pale Pink, £200. electra formosa dress

What's your favourite trend for Autumn winter?

I am super excited that the 60's are back...the whole look from winged eyeliner to mini skirts and so many cute dress shapes!

What does your perfect little black dress look like and why?

For me, I am petite, so I always go short to show off my legs. I love a dress that nips me in at the waist and then skims my bum and hips, just like the Carrie dress. I sometimes go for a low back but then also a more structured peplum.

What's your perfect night out?

I love a proper girl's night out (think Sex in the City style) where we can all get super dressed up! A few cocktails in a night bar and then me and my friends LOVE to dance, so dancing until the sun comes up!

Reveal your favourite places in your little black book...

I've recently moved out to LA so my favourite places to hit out here would have to be... Laurel Hardware - Me and my friends can be found here probably once a week, great atmosphere, a cool laid back vibe and they do great pizza too! Soho House - A cool crowd and amazing view of the whole city! Villa Blanca - It an all white decor and great food & cocktails. Cafe Gratitude - I am vegetarian so I love how much choice I have there! Sky Bar at the Mondrian Hotel on Sunset Blvd has a great atmosphere and a view to die for.

What's your most ‘feminine' place to go out?

My most feminine place to go out would probably be a girly lunch and shopping day with my mum and sisters. If I was in London I would hit Oxford Street, Selfridges is our playground!
