Team LBD's Best Dressed at the Oscars 2012
The Oscars. A star-studded night filled to bursting with delectable designer dresses donned by the best (and worst) on the fashion circuit. Last night press and public alike waited with baited breath as the Hollywood elite stepped out on to the red runway ready to tell us who they were wearing and why. But will their name be fronting the headlines for best or worst dressed of the Oscars 2012...? Team LBD take a look at the most impressive looks of the night:
Screen Siren Angeline Jolie, Anna Faris and Emma Stone took Hollywood glam to the next level with these vixen-esque gowns, flashing just the right amount of flesh but still looking suitably sophisticated for the occasion. Way to wear the embellished black dress this season Ms Faris!
Golden Oldies Showing us that age has nothing to do with getting on the best dressed list Glenn Close, Meryl Streep and Jane Seymour showcased their enviable figures and fabulous fashion sense in eye-catching jewel hues. If we look that good at their age...!
Little Black details When Team LBD's Oscar nomination finally arrives you can count on us to work a little black detailing into our red carpet wardrobe. Until then, we'll marvel at the ladies who worked our favourite look without us. Sandra Bullock was traditionally demure and monochrome marvelous in a classic evening dress and gold accessories. Tina Fey was one of many stylish celebs parading the peplum trend in this floor-length navy number with simple wasit-cinching black belt. And finally, Judy Greer was a mix of toned-down Jessica Rabbit and fabulous flapper girl in this black and gold panel dress. We must admit these decadently dark dresses really do it for us but which Oscar look gets your vote? Tell us now on Facebook.
