The Weekend's Best Dressed Celebrities
The celebrity sphere has been alive with events this weekend, which only means one thing; lots of beautiful style to admire. Team LBD has honed in on the most fabulous dresses and where they were spotted and on who... Victoria Beckham shunned the usual casual off-duty airport uniform and was seen at LAX sporting a quirky LBD from her own 2016 Resort collection, naturally. We love the vibrant almost arty feeling swirl print on the shoulder and hem, a great new way to inject a shot of bright colour to a simple little black dress. And, you heard it here first but turquoise and red is the hot new fashion colour combo! Miranda Kerr was positively glowing at the opening of Zimmerman’s Melrose Place flagship store in New York. Wearing a soft blush lace dress from the Zimmerman collection, exquisitely accessorised with a rose gold clutch and barely there metallic heels, Miranda showed us how summer occasion dressing is really done. Out of the cat-suit and into a dress, Kate Mara was seen out and about promoting the new Fantastic Four Film. Rocking a new choppy pixie crop with a monochrome halterneck dress and black simple strap heels, Kate has sussed the perfect transitional look. A Team LBD style favourite, the forever chic Jessica Chastain showed us how to do subtle sparkle, going for a plunging midnight blue dress with a pleated skater skirt as she promoted new space mission film The Martian at the Ritz Carlton hotel in New York. Spectacular! Another pair who modelled monochrome this weekend was Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul. Attending the opening night of the Special Olympics on Sunday in Beverley Hills as guest judges, Scherzinger opted for a figure-revealing printed Hervé Léger number and a bold red lip, while Abdul went for a classic lace panel bodycon dress with a bold racer neckline. Follow the ladies’ lead and style monochrome with a pair of black courts or peep toes for the perfect evening ensemble. How would you style up this week’s dresses?
