This season, fashion is tying us down and beating us into submission with a textile manifestation of all things sex, fetish and discipline. Sex in fashion has existed since the Victorian period when the figure sculpting undergarments were additional armoury for the the woman of this time. Every succeeding fashion era since, the levels eroticism have crept up and A/W 2011 does not disappoint and promises to get you hot under the collar. Sheer inserts, unyielding corsetry and bondage buckles have dominated as titillating temptresses stomped down the runways, flaunting the somewhat unorthodox collections that are set to seduce A/W 2011. Teetering so precariously on the edge of fetish costume, this season will bring your deepest, darkest, dirtiest fantasies to life, right before your lusting eyes. Alexander McQueen, Felder Felder, Louis Vuitton and Mark Fast are amongst those who have succumbed to the powerful forces of fetish fashion, sending leather clad, harnessed minxes down their catwalks, spawning a steamy air of animalistic desire. Thierry Mugler is also taking the trend full throttle with their most recent collection that features barely-there, sheer cotton inserts penetrating oleaginous latex skirts- a materialisation of pseudo-eroticism that we are finding exceedingly difficult to resist. Heterodox starlet, Lady Gaga has poured herself into a deviating yet mesmerisingly hypnotic mould that has set over time and erected the muse for Theirry Mugler's latest stimulating designs. The Lady made her catwalk debut on Mugler's runway, enticing onlookers in a second-skin LBD, which fondled her enviable assets, during Paris Fashion Week. She strutted up and down the platform to a previously unheard song of hers, Government Hooker, dispersing sultry slurs across the room, pronouncing explicit lyrics with a stark lack of inhibition. The song relays the sordid tale of the infamous affair between government body, John F Kennedy and his mistress, Marilyn Monroe; it's heavy beat perfectly complementing the arousing atmospherics. The Mugler showstopper consisted of a calf-kissing, wet-look latex, pencil skirt topped off by an extremely revealing sheer top, classically accessorised with a multiple string, pearl choker and a provocative, blood red pout. Acclaimed designer, Marios Schwab is also looking at the world of fashion through lust-tinted glasses with his suggestive A/W 11 collection pumped, ever so implicitly, full of erotic innuendo. Schwab has bred a collection of garments that make for a more conservative, wearable take on the Muglers of the fashion realm and will disguise your inner vixen until the bedroom doors are locked. Screen siren and current object of desire, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has been seduced by Schwab and was pictured wearing this sensual ensemble from his collection. The malleable leather whispers unrepeatable utterances in our ear, while the Hermes inspired harness beguiles us with its charms, luring us into this carnal trend trap. So, after you have taken a very cold shower, get your kinky boots on and get your claws into some lascivious LBDs and turn up the heat, full blast. Remember, there is a very thin line between implicit and indecent and you will need to tread this line very carefully if you are going to nail this trend without getting arrested! Subtle S&M is more droolworthy than sex shop smut so opt for a buckled ankle boot and slicked back tresses to tease, please!
