We thought style icon and MTV presenter, Zara Martin had forgotten the bottom half of outfit when she attended the private viewing of Reebok ZigTech and Wallpaper magazine in central London last week. However, when we looked a little closer, we could see that it was, in fact, a mega-mini LBD! Zara took a moment away from being an avid fashion, art and culture blogger to host London Fashion Weekend last September. She clearly keeps a close (perfectly made-up) eye on the approaching catwalk trends, as this slinky number ticks off so many of the current fads. Curvaceous glamour model, Kelly Brook also attended the Reebok event looking angelic in a beautiful off-white shift but Zara was the devil on the padded shoulder of fashion in this rebel-chic ensemble. Ms. Martin's dress looked like it could have strutted straight of the runways of high-profile design houses such as Alexander McQueen, Thierry Mugler and Giles. The fashion industry is lusting over leather and gambling with risqué cutouts this season so expect PVC and rubber to become a vampish addition to your LBD collection. We would never expect anything less than fashion-forward from Zara and this lavish LBD is no exception. The skirt section is made up from fan-shaped pieces of leather, layered to create an explosion of texture whilst the top is composed of a simple, strapless bandeau laying beneath a cutout overlay. The anarchic aesthetic of this dress complements Zara's on-trend, grungy tresses to perfection, while the figure-hugging waistline creates that beautiful hourglass silhouette. The mish-mash of textures, shapes and fabrics make this long-sleeved mini dress one 'hot mess' that we are sure you will want to replicate. Have a look through our suggestions to bring some heat to your LBD wardrobe.
