2016: New Year, New Bars

Cocktails It's the start of another year, ladies. That means it's time to revamp your wardrobe and your habits. Step away from your usual hangouts and get yourself down to these new venues for a bit of fresh faced dining and drinking.

1) The Bootlegger London

Unfortunately, scientists haven't discovered a way to time travel to the glamorous 1920s yet. We do have a solution to this little problem though; head to London's newest prohibition bar, The Bootlegger. It's a clandestine basement hangout where live jazz music and heady cocktails resurrect that oh-so-seductive bygone era. Audrey The Audrey Dress, £120

Oriole 2) Oriole London

The opening of Oriole has been anticipated by many discerning drinkers across the UK (and the world). For those that are unaware, Oriole is the younger sister of world-renowned cocktail bar, Nightjar. The drinks at this stylish Smithfield plot are inspired by the multiple habitats of the Oriole bird; so get your palate ready for a trip around the world (no suitcases needed). On top of the delicious mixology, guests will also be treated to live musical musings, seven nights a week.Oriole Outfit Lipstick Boutique Georgina Paisley Print Dress, £60 Cirque

3) Cirque Manchester

Coco Chanel once said "I only drink champagne on two occasions. When I'm in love and when I am not”. In an attempt to follow her glamorous lifestyle, we've placed a spotlight on Cirque; the ideal place to enjoy a glass of fizz, any day of the week. This new Manchester gem is spread across three floors and boasts its own vintage lounge space, with VIP table service. Make sure you keep your eyes peeled for their boisterous entertainment schedule. Everything from live music, jazz afternoons and burlesque shows are expected to make your jaw drop. Cirque Outfit The LBD Jourdan Dress, ¬£45 Aluna

4) Aluna Birmingham

All thanks to its stunning surroundings and quirky cocktails, Aluna is whispered to be one of Birmingham's coolest hangouts. Sink into one of their velvet chairs and relish in an evening of magical tipples and relaxation. The mixologists behind the bar are equipped with expert knowledge, so don't be afraid to ask them for a recommendation. There are over a whopping 80 cocktails on offer, giving you plenty of excuses to visit time, and time again. Aluna-outfit Millie Mackintosh Black Lace Dress With Peplum Hem, £110 Polpo

5) Poplo Brighton

Poplo has decided to spread its love of Venetian Italian food to England's quintessential seaside town, Brighton. The rustic style venue will be a place of sophisticated dining offering delicious starters, mains and desserts. Make sure you wet your lips with a cocktail (or three) and a glass of Prosecco while you're there. Venice is also one of the most romantic cities in the world, making this place a great first date spot.
