All the best Oscars dresses 2013

It will be forever known as the year Jennifer Lawrence tripped over her bridal style ball gown to accept her award. But it wasn't all about the mishaps at last night's Oscars, there was some fantastic fashion too! 2013's awards dresses just keep getting better and last night the standard of red carpet-worthy floor-trailers, sequin-encrusted knee-grazers and colour-pop prom numbers was high. Here's Team LBD's favourites and the dresses you need to recreate them. ALL THAT GLITTERS IS...BLACK: ADELE Team LBD are always excited to see how Adele will wear her trusty black dress come red carpet night and we were especially pleased to see her working the ultimate evening look in a full-length black embellished dress. Take heed of Adele's choice and embrace head-to-toe glitter this season; much like the classic LBD, sequins are not just for Christmas party season! For a SS13 update on the timeless embellished black dress go short and sassy. We love Ruby Ray's long-sleeved version which is great for ladies wishing to keep their arms under wraps and sexy enough for Saturday night. BRIDAL STYLE ON THE RED CARPET: JENNIFER LAWRENCE After her mishap at the SAG Awards with her Dior dress 'falling down' you'd have thought Jennifer Lawrence had had enough bad luck for one awards season. Unfortunately for her that wasn't the case, and at last night's Oscars the award-winning actress stumbled up the stairs on the way to collect her gong for her part in Silver Linings Playbook. Never mind though, eh? She did look stunning in another Dior design that was all volume and texture and looked fit for a blushing bride. Hop on board the bridal chic train (see what we did there?) with Kelly Ewing's white ruffled prom dress, which comes in a length that even Jennifer couldn't trip over! PRETTY IN PINK: FAN BINGBING Never one to shy away from a crazy couture creation for a stint on the red carpet Fan BingBing channeled her inner Disney Princess at the 2013 Oscars in a hot pink bandeau gown. The origami-design dress featured a cinched in waist and bell skirt which helped to morph her petite frame in to a rather alluring hourglass shape. If you're looking to make a statement in this girlie hue then look no further than Kate Fearnley's stand-out collection. We can't get enough of this new addition to the sale section; we bet Fan wishes she'd checked LittleBlackDress.co.uk before she chose the Marchesa version, which no doubt set her back a few thousand more! ART DECO DECADENCE: HALLE BERRY We love Halle Berry's modern twist on a decadent, flapper girl chic dress for the Oscars. The razzle dazzle of the 20s teamed with a low-cut, cut-out neckline and sheer sleeves made her one of our favourite A-listers on the red carpet last night. And the even better news? It's not that tricky to recreate. The Aftershock London Arketta dress was made for such a glitzy event but whether you're siddling up alongside the most stylish celebs or stepping out for your own glamorous affair it is sure to get you noticed. Of course we adore the black dress. But there are some celebs who we'd like to put their favourite black number down once in a while and step out in something a bit more shocking. And last night, Jennifer Aniston aka LBD devotee, hung up her go-to red carpet attire and stepped out in a ravishing red evening gown. And she looked amazing! In true Jen style she went for less is more and teamed her strapless red Valentino dress with a simple clutch bag and minimal jewellery. Steal her seriously sexy style and pay homage to fashion's love affair with the scarlet hue in this Elliot Claire red hot floor-length number. PURPLE TRAIN: JENNIFER GARNER It's been a while since we've seen a good grape number at the awards but we're sure Jennifer Garner's wine-esque hue is just the first of many to grace the red carpet this season. Jennifer knows that purple is a good colour for all complexions and teamed with sparkling silver accessories was a really flattering, classic style for her English rose-like look. Whilst the custom-made Gucci Première violet silk crepe strapless column gown might be out of the question, recreating Jennifer's sophisticated style is only a mere LittleBlackDress.co.uk purchase away. A-list glamour in this season's most sumptuous shade, for just ¬£118? Yes please! GOING FOR GOLD: RENEE ZELLWEGER Renee's either been working out or she's borrowed Bridget's big knickers to look this svelte! The red carpet veteran slithered in to a skin-tight, yet super-flattering, long gold dress for her arrival to the 2013 Oscars, showing that the metallic trend has well and truly taken off. For a less body-conscious style dress we recommend HMH Couture's Alecto dress which comes in a similarly slinky cut and colour but features curve-friendly ruching and a high, halter neck which will help to elongate your frame. You're welcome. HIGH NECK HOTTIE: SALMA HAYEK Looking the perfect combination of old school glam and here and now sexy Salma Hayek wowed in one of our favourite Oscar dresses ever last night. The long black soft-to-the-touch design skimmed over Salma's enviable figure beautifully and the high, ornate gold neckline showed that this lady pays attention to fashion. For your own take on Salma's style opt for a floor-sweeping black dress with a halter neckline and team with a statement necklace to give it an ample does of SS13 glam like the starlet herself.
