Behind the Scenes: Amber Lounge Abu Dhabi

This past weekend saw this year's Formula 1 season grind to a halt in the glamorous location of Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, no less. Amber Lounge, the official F1 party connoisseurs, hosted a spectacular party for race goers and celebrities alike. As the fashion partner of Amber Lounge, dressing the gorgeous VIP hostesses in the Little Black Dress Collection, we caught up with Juulia Siikala, the PR and Media Manager at Amber Lounge, to found out what went on behind-the-scenes¦ This was the seventh time that Amber Lounge was present at the Formula One weekend held in Abu Dhabi and we saw a jubilant return to the stunning setting of the Yas Links waterfront. A beautiful, tranquil waterfront venue with the amazing Yas Island skyline as the backdrop €œ Yas really is a world of its own!

Post race on the Saturday night, guests including Abu Dhabi and Dubai socialites, celebrities, bloggers and the F1 fraternity, enjoyed some downtime drinking cocktails at the Williams Martini racing bar, sampling Dewar's 18-year old whisky served by a stunning hostesses (wearing Little Black Dress!) and expert barman, as well as Grey Goose shots. Free-flowing Dom Perignon was also enjoyed on all of the VIP tables.

Singer Craig David presented his amazing TS5 tour for a cheering audience on both the Saturday and Sunday night; performing some of my favourite tracks €œ Walking Away and 7 Days! The weekend climaxed at Sunday's party when race winner Nico Rosberg stepped onto the DJ podium on to celebrate his victory, which was amazing, another definite highlight.

Even though I was absolutely rushed off my feet, I always enjoy the F1 weekends; I just don't have much time to notice it! But that aside, I think my favourite moment from the entire weekend in Abu Dhabi was all of the happy people everywhere!

Overall, it was a really successful couple of days for Amber Lounge, but now? I'm looking forward to eating lots of food (instead of coffee and Mars bars!) and NOT wearing high heels for a while! The Little Black Dress and Amber Lounge partnership continues in 2016 starting with the first race of the season in Monaco.
