Lights, camera, dresses – glamour! Our spring Little Black Dress Collection has arrived and where else would be more fitting to shoot the incredibly elegant collection than the famed Hotel Café Royal. Renowned for its history and luxurious interiors, the location has long been associated with the chic and famous; the perfect place to capture the rich heritage and iconic style of Little Black Dress.
So heading to London's distinguished Regent Street, Team LBD were up bright and early to begin the first SS15 LBD Collection photo shoot...
Hotel Café Royal
Established in 1867, the hotel has welcomed a famous crowd through its polished doors ever since; from rock royalty Mick Jagger to style icon Elizabeth Taylor and sporting and acting legends alike. Originally a famous wine bar and club, Hotel Café Royal underwent a major refurbishment in 2008 to become an opulent haven of luxury and exceptional design. In particular, the incredible Pompadour Ballroom that our shoot takes place in, features stunning original ornate Louis XVI detailing with beautiful Corinthian pilasters, mirrored panels and an exquisite fresco ceiling.
The Races look
Gorgeous model Charlotte worked race day sophistication perfectly in our LBD Collection Kate dress in white.
Gatsby Glamour
The hotel's ballroom provided the perfect setting for a glamorous Gatsby themed shoot. Modern shoes, a slinky fur stole and our Gatsbylady Isobel dress completed the scene.
Concept to creation
From Team LBD's icon Audrey Hepburn to inspiration from heritage brands Dior and Chanel, genius make-up artist Carlos Palma created a flawless, classic beauty look to fit the theme of the shoot. Meanwhile stylist Jodie Nellist worked her magic styling the Little Black Dress wardrobe with gorgeous accessories.
The Audrey dress
It wouldn't have been right to shoot here without seeing the LBD Collection Audrey Hepburn inspired dress gracing the amazing staircase at the Hotel Café Royal.
