London's most fashionable exhibition

‘Fashion is an expression of the times. Elegance is something else again.' Horst, 1984

This autumn London's Victoria & Albert Museum will host an exhibition to entice fashion photography fans from far and wide. The subject of which; the varied and fascinating works of Horst P. Horst. The German-born photographer extraordinaire, whose works span over six decades, include collaborations with Coco Chanel and Elsa Schiaparelli, insider peaks into the Art Deco apartment of Karl Lagerfeld and the lavish world of Yves Saint Laurent. There are also travel photographs from his jet-setting lifestyle, which saw him explore the landscapes and architecture of France, Israel, Iran, Syria, Italy, Morocco and the United States. Although the highlights of the exhibition include Horst's collection of over 90 Vogue covers and previously unseen portraits of Tinseltown's brightest stars including Rita Hayworth, Bette Davis, Vivien Leigh, Ginger Rogers and Marlene Dietrich.
