Dolce and Gabbana celebrate their launch on the Net-a-Porter website but Kelly-O steals the show

Online luxury clothing and accessory retailer, Net-a-Porter held a star-studded bash at their Westfield offices in London last week to celebrate Dolce and Gabbana now being stocked on both their website and the Mr-Porter site. The three hundred guests included infamous supermodel Naomi Campbell, David 'Gorgeous' Gandy, Queen Latifah and both the Pixies (Lott and Geldof) as well as Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana themselves. Despite being surrounded by influential figures of the fashion realm and eagerly anticipated performances from Bip Ling and Sunday Girl, Kelly Osbourne still managed to steal the limelight. In a floor-length, black, satin gown, the troublesome teen turned style icon looked a picture of glamour and sophistication. Showing off her new slim physique, Kelly-O's goth-glam look reminded us of 1980s Madonna with her kitsch cross pendant and platinum blonde tresses. Teaming her LBD with a distressed leather jacket brought Kelly's Hollywood glamour aesthetic bang up to date; by working in the advancing 'glitter grunge' trend. A slick of baby pink lipstick ensures Ms. Ozzy is looking more modern Marilyn Monroe than Morticia Adams. Nice work, Kelly! High-shine fabrics are a must this season and Natalie Massenet, founder of Net-a-Porter took a more classic approach with a calf-length puffball LBD. Volume is going to take the fashion world by storm this season and billowing layers of silk are a perfect way to create fabulous feminine frills. Adding an underskirt will also give you that extra boost. A studded clutch back and an array of mismatched bangles add some spice to this sickly sweet design but the strapless, tube-top and chunky waistband combination is a little too Prom Queen for us, sorry Natalie! So, whether you are enjoying Kelly's gothic gown or Natalie's more conservative and voluminous garb, check out some of the LBDs we'd love to have hanging in our wardrobes. All we need now is a VIP, star-studded event to attend, time to reach for the address book"¦
