Little Black Dress gets arty

We, like the vast majority of the female population it seems, have developed a bit of an addiction to Stylist magazine's online counterpart, Emerald Street. Not only are we engrossed in their daily newsletter, delicious recipes and reading recommendations but we can't take our eyes off a certain series of little black dress sketches.

Emerald Street's drawings are the work of Francesca Waddell and beautifully evoke the class as well as quirky glamour of the LBD and its wearer. Our particular favourite is this sophisticated, cocktail sipping lady in black (above). Look familiar? It's Nigella Lawson and was created when Ms Lawson guest edited for a week at the magazine.
