Neon – the Colour Influencing our Dress Code

Neon is back! Whether it's Prada, Dolce & Gabanna or even the neutral-loving brand Max Mara – the top fashion houses are brimming with the brights. We're loving this colourful rainbow of pop. Opt for minis or even ballgowns, the choice is endless. Here's 7 key looks to put a flash of neon into your wardrobe…

Saturday Night Brights – Neon

Firstly, Ignore the jibes ladies – neon is back with a vengeance this 2019 and we're loving it. Whether you add just a pop of colour with accessories or go the whole hog, we are embracing this new trend. Turn heads in top to toe brights. Flash some leg in this gorgeous Club L London neon mini dress – a perfect choice for Saturday nights and clubbing the night away. Club L are also selling a cute little mini pink dress – or a more demure yellow blazer dress. The choice is yours. Prom – Neon Trend?

Next, why not try the new trend for neon maxi dresses? Perfect for prom, these Goddiva evening dresses are certainly a talking point. We're thinking what an excellent memory to create if all your friends bought a different shade – imagine the line up outside your stretch limousine ladies, lol! You will look like a rainbow of fun – certainly a vibe which will see you through to the after-party. A Touch of Neon

So, it's all too much and you're just not feeling this vibe? Fear not, you can opt for just a touch. These Closet London dresses are a classic example. Combining prints with a touch of bright colour is a subtle way to adapt to the new trend. We're also loving these pretty prints for their floaty appeal – perfect for Prosecco picnics and summer celebrations. Caption: Try Closet London for their vibrant prints for a more subtle approach to bright colours. Or try Marc Angelo for a 2-in-1 brocade dress; or we love Honor Gold's Madison dress for a half and half bright vibe.

What about the accessories?

We're loving the bright handbags and jewellery out there at the moment. Try our vibrant Johnnie Loves Rosie bag to add a touch of the trend without going overboard? Or we simple adore this C'est Beau bucket bag in yellow.

Bright Midis & Jumpsuits

Even the midi dress and the jumpsuit, a staple in our summer wardrobe, have a new take on SS19. Try Honor Gold's sweet collection of body con dresses brimming with neon-ness (yes that is a word, we think). These are perfect for weddings and special occasions as well as those summer impromptu drinks with the girls – your dress or jumpsuit could even match your cocktail. Pina Colada anyone? Bright vibes. Try the Gorgeous Couture yellow Jumpsuit. Or what about this Vicky Pattison lime yellow midi dress?

Separates

We're loving bodysuits – they're versatile and fabulous. Why? Because each outfit looks so much different. Team them with jeans or floaty skirts. Club L London's multi-way bodysuits are amazing for creating many different looks on a budget. And, yes, you've guessed it, they also come in luminous colours. Caption: we love this Club L Bodysuit. Or just go for a bright pink skirt such as this Closet London full skirt in fushcia. Or a shocking jumpsuit from Closet London just landed for SS19

Make up - Brightening Up your Summer

The new trends for neon are also taking over the beauty industry. You just can't go anywhere without bumping into the trend. We're loving Daniel Sandler's palette – a goody box of neon delights. And don't forget the vital ingredient to make neon stand out – a sun blushed skin tone if you're not lucky enough to have those bronzed limbs naturally, of course. Add Fearne Beauty to your must-have list. Don't forget to exfoliate before hand and ensure your skin has been thoroughly prepped with moisture a few days before – drinking loads of water will also naturally do this from the inside folks. 7. Or ignore everything neon – go for an LBD

Right, we get it. You just don't like neon. Whether it's because of skin tone or you simply can't stand the bright stuff, opt instead for a classic Little Black Dress. Stand out from the crowd, anywhere and everywhere in an LBD. New LBD's on the block include Cari's Closet, The Vicki Pattison Collection and Gorgeous Couture. It's definitely one of our favourite looks (well, we would say that wouldn't we?) But let's face it, black dresses are just so versatile – you can wear on repeat with new qualms. Dress up or down. Short, long or midi. The timeless elegance bypasses all the fashion fads and trends, including neon. Best of black, try these LBDs and ditch the bright colours - loving this Lace and Beads spotty black dress for summer and this Gorgeous Couture maxi dress is stunning. So, love it or hate it. Neon is here to stay with us. Even interior designers are swamped with neon cushions, candles and soft furnishings. Therefore, it's no surprise this trend has filtered through to our wardrobe. Whether you opt for a stand out neon party dress, or a simple touch with a striking accessory, we've got your back. Our curated collections include thousands of dresses because that's what we do. We sell beautiful dresses – including neon. And you now know where to get yours. Or get an LBD. . .the choice is yours.
