The best gowns at the Woman of the Year Awards

Last night saw some of the world's most influential, inspirational, and not to mention stunning women all gather at Claridge's Hotel in London to attend the annual Harper's Bazaar Women of the Year Awards. Turning out in their finest attire, the red carpet was awash with sartorially styled women, from models and actresses to fashion icon Victoria Beckham in her LBD and trend setter Millie Mackintosh making headlines with her daringly skimpy gown. Just some of the women to pick up awards included, Rosie Huntington- Whiteley who unsurprisingly won model of the year, whilst Diane Von Furstenberg was honoured with the title of fashion icon of the year. But we have to admit we were a little more interested in what they wore…

The LBDs

Needless to say Team LBD was ecstatic to see the stunning display of LBDs on the red carpet, with not only fashion icon Victoria Beckham donning the sultry dark hue but it was also a hit with the models in attendance too. Rosie Huntington-Whitely opted for Balmain as usual and looked striking in a sheer black plunging jumpsuit that proved her worth as model of the year. Steal her little black jumpsuit style in our much more wearable HMH Couture Liliana Jumpsuit in Black, £120. Looking as chic as ever, Victoria Beckham opted for a sultry plunging black halterneck dress that was subtly balanced with a billowing skirt. If you love this look then take a look at our far more affordable Gorgeous Couture Rihanna Swarovski Dress in Black, £183.95. She may not be as well-known as these other LBD advocates yet, but American model Arizona Muse is certainly making a name for herself in the fashion world with her classic sense of style. Keeping it simple yet stylish, she wore a classic black midi dress reminding us that you don't have to be adorned in sequins and glitter to look stunning. Get her timeless LBD style with the Little Black Dress Collection Emma Dress, £85.

The bold and the beautiful

Wolf of Wall Street actress, Margot Robbie also wowed last night. Ever the daring trend setter, she wore a striking long yellow plunging gown that certainly had the paparazzi in a stir. Fashionista and former MIC star Millie Mackintosh attended the event with rapper husband Professor Green and dazzled in an ethereal long Julien Macdonald gown. Although she carried the dress off beautifully the windy weather wasn't in her favour as she battled to save her modesty. Actress Carey Mulligan, renowned for her feminine and quirky style, certainly upped the fashion ante with a strapless dark green floral number to collect the Inspiration award. She added a pop of colour with satin red heels and a matching lipstick and paired her look with a classic black envelope clutch. Model of the moment Suki Waterhouse also stood out on the night with a beautifully embroidered navy Valentino gown that summed up her ladylike yet unique style.
