The Golden Globes red carpet awards go to...

Starting off 2015's Hollywood red carpet in style, this year's 72nd annual Golden Globes played host to a glamorous clan of A-listers, setting the style stakes high for the impending season of awards ahead. Here's our run down of the most gorgeous gowns from the night.... Subtle nude, silvers and whites were a key look on the night, with more than a few stars dazzling in the minimalist look. Emily Blunt opted for a simple white Michael Kors Grecian-style gown with delicate silver accessories whilst Kate Beckinsale positively glowed in Elie Saab. German actress Diane Kruger flaunted her enviable figure in a fuss-free Emilia Wickstead dress and Reese Witherspoon channeled old Hollywood glamour in a slinky Calvin Klein Collection column dress. Taking it to the next level Salma Hayek was the talk of the town in a ravishing Pinault white gown that cinched her in at the waist and showed off her slender shoulders. The Theory of Everything actress Felicity Jones donned an incredible Christian Dior teal blue bouffant gown whilst Jennifer Lopez certainly made the headlines as she flaunted her (would you believe it 46-year-old) figure in an embellished and caped Zuhair Murad creation. Amy Adams was turned out immaculately as usual and looked elegant in a powder blue Versace dress. It wasn't all to be ladylike pale numbers at the awards with Clare Danes wowing in a unique Valentino gown with a daring low-cut mesh insert and Jessica Chastain also flashing the flesh with a deep plunge in her Versace gown. Julianne Moore opted for a stunning Givenchy Haute Couture gown, which featured a glamorous feathered fishtail hem. Unsurprisingly Jennifer Aniston also wore black but when you look this good we don't blame her; she showed of her famous pins in the Saint Laurent dress that had a sexy thigh-high split and sequin embellished halterneck. Perhaps another trend we'll see on future red carpets was a deep purple hue, with actress Lupita Nyong'o looking whimsical in a dreamy Giambattista Valli Couture dress, whilst actress Anna Kendrick had flecks of the regal tone in her fairytale Monique Lhuillier dress. Katie Holmes opted for a simple Marchesa gown and wore her hair in long extensions swept to the side in a sleek ponytail. John Legend's wife, the always sartorial Chrissy Teigen looked impeccable in Zuhair Murad, the nude tone showing off her glowing golden skin beautifully. Adding a much needed dash of colour to the evening, we were pleased to see that some dared to be different in a much more daring colour palette. Leslie Mann opted for a daffodil yellow strapless Kaufman-Franco gown much like Naomi Watts, who also opted for the same vibrant shade from Gucci. Rita Ora attended the Weinstein Company and Netflix Party after in a figure-hugging red gown with fishtail skirt whilst Orange Is The New Black actress Taylor Schilling opted for a completely different silhouette in the same hue from the Ralph Lauren Collection. Also favouring the fairer colour palette, Keira Knightley glowed in her unique Chanel dress, which showed no sign of her growing baby bump. Rosamund Pike, who only 2 months ago gave birth, looked slim in a daring flowing gown by Vera Wang. Sienna Miller also went for the plunge in a prettily printed Miu Miu dress whilst Kate Hudson looked divine in an Atelier Versace gown that had sexy cut-outs. George Clooney's wife Amal Clooney certainly made the effort with a classic LBD and white gloves, with actress Catherine Zeta-Zones looking lovely in a bold red Angel Sanchez gown. Emma Stone opted for a cool trouser and top combo from Lanvin that cretainly made a refreshing change on the red carpet. And lastly but certainly not least, it's the lady you're about to see a whole lot more of, Fifty Shades Of Grey actress Dakota Johnson took to the red carpet in a beautifully embellished silver Chanel dress.
