Introducing the Anne Dress from our Little Black Dress Collection. Inspired by icons and designed for today's fashionista, the Little Black Dress Collection fuses the classic LBD heritage together with contemporary features, modern fabrics and unexpected detailing. When designing each dress for our own-label collection, we take inspiration from the glittering moments of fashion heroes past and present and are on a constant search for those of the future. From The Princess Diaries to Les Miserables, we've seen Anne Hathaway shine and grow on the big screen. Whether she's standing up to a certain fashion editor, playing a secret agent or a determined bride, we know she's ready for anything. But her Academy Award, BAFTA and Golden globe could tell you that. As brand ambassador for Tod's and Lancôme, we saw her talent from a high fashion and beauty perspective, supported by a multitude of fabulous magazine editorials and front covers for the likes in Elle, Vogue and InStyle. Having cemented her a-list status Anne was a natural source of inspiration as one of our icons in this season's LBD collection. Anne Hathaway, 86th Annual Academy Awards 2014. With red carpet perfection at the top of Anne's talent list, it was a challenge for Team LBD to pinpoint her single best fashion moments. From a variety of greats, we selected the dramatic black Gucci maxi dress with silver armour, worn to the 2014 Oscars. As one of the rare few to trial and suit the pixie crop, this was the year where we saw her cut her long locks on camera during the epic Les Miserables. The looks that followed in the awards season were both captivating and feminine in all colours from soft pastel hues to classic black, with Anne's new ‘do complimenting her delicate features. The actress has a real eye for designer, experimenting with brands such as Ralph Lauren, Prada, Marchesa and Chanel. We knew we had to encapsulate this woman and her style when designing and creating the Anne dress. Anne Hathaway, 85th Annual Academy Awards 2013, wearing Prada. Photo by Jim Smeal/ BEI. The effortless hourglass silhouette is created from a form-fitting black material, with a high neck and open back for alternative details. As the weather begins to get colder and we enter the Christmas party season, no evening gown is complete without a little embellishment. If like Anne you're fond of subtleties and the queen of ‘less is more', then the minimal gem shoulder embellishment would make the Anne dress an ideal choice for you. Worn with natural, subtle makeup and a statement clutch, you'll be the true belle of the ball.
