The most expensive LBD in the world
We don't have a spare £3.5million but if you do, you may want to take a look at this...
This is officially the most expensive black dress in the world. A stunning work of art that is all hand-made and took six months to finish, the dress is the only black diamond dress ever created and boasts a massive 25 two-carat black diamonds adorning the peplum and a further 25 two-carat black diamonds on the shoulder shrug. It is classic in its shape featuring a bustier top, long fishtail skirt, volumous waist ruffles and a detachable collar. It is also one of the heaviest gowns ever made weighing in at a whopping 13kg.
The rest of the embellishment is the result of 'fine beading and delicate white diamonds set in white gold with a very fine chainmail detail to add more individuality, setting the embellishment on this gown apart from any other of the world's most expensive gowns,' explains the British designer, Debbie Wingham.
Debbie who counts Dita von Tease and Kate Winslet as clients, unveiled the dress at the Billionaires' Club in Monte Carlo before taking it on a tour of Europe that ended with a grand finale at Ukraine Fashion Week. The dress will join a list of six other diamond-encrusted gowns created by the designer, although it remains her most expensive to date, valued at around £3.5million.
They might not have the same price tag (phew!) but we have some embellished floor-sweepers that can make you feel a few million dollars:
