The Story Behind the Victoria Dress

Starting out as "Posh Spice', when the girl band Spice Girls burst on to the music scene in 1996 (yes, it really was that long ago), Victoria Beckham has since truly evolved into a style icon, trend-setter, universally appreciated fashion designer, and don't forget that she's married to one of the most lust after men in the world, David Beckham. Although Victoria's career started in music with the Spice Girls, and with a subsequent solo career where she saw 4 of her singles make it into the UK top 10, she is now perhaps more famous for her iconic fashion status.

The Victoria Dress

Victoria has always been acknowledged and applauded for her classic, tailored style and after launching her own hugely successful designer clothing range in 2008, she is now also highly sought after and respected by the most influential faces in fashion, even receiving the prestigious Designer Brand of the Year award at the British Fashion Awards in 2011.

From the beginning of her career we have seen Victoria utilising the Little Black Dress; whilst in the Spice Girls Victoria's alter-ego, Posh Spice, was synonymous with all black clothing, and in particular black mini dresses. Since then, she has continually confirmed her adoration of the black dress, and some of her most iconic looks have seen her sporting the classic LBD.
