With the Amber Lounge event about to take place this Friday at the Monaco Grand Prix, it won't be long before we unveil our exclusive Revi Jorrou-designed couture dress. With a price tag estimated at £10,000, we decided to take a look at some other iconic and expensive dresses.
Grace Kelly - $4,000

Although it may not seem expensive compared to other dresses in our rundown, back in 1955 this would have been a rather large price tag. In today's money, the dress would be valued at over £35,000, which is still small compared to other dresses on the list. However, this gown was worn the night Grace cemented her status as a Hollywood icon, taking home the Best Actress Academy Award for
The Country Girl.
Princess Diana - £240k

A style icon renowned for her little black dresses, the People's Princess wowed not only the room, but the whole world when she danced with Hollywood star John Travolta at the White House in 1985. The moment was so memorable it earned this Victor Edelstein designed gown the nickname ‘The Travolta Dress'. In 1997, Diana auctioned the dress off for charity, where it sold for ¬£100,000, and then in 2011 it was auctioned off again, where it fetched an even more eye-watering ¬£240,000.
Kate Middleton - £250k

The world waited with baited breath as Kate Middleton stepped out at Westminster Abbey, unveiling her wedding dress to the world. Custom made by Sarah Burton, the head designer at Alexander McQueen, and with a price tag of £250,000, it has since become one of the most iconic wedding dresses in history.
Audrey Hepburn - $900k

It's one of the most iconic little black dresses of all time, worn by one of the most iconic film stars of all time. Debuting in the classic
Breakfast at Tiffany's, Audrey Hepburn wowed us all, and continues to do so more than 50 years later, in this Givenchy dress. Standing the true test of time, it was auctioned off in 2006, fetching a huge $900,000.
Marilyn Monroe - $4.6 million

Possibly the most iconic dress of all time, worn on one of the most photographed stars in history and one of our all-time favourites, Marilyn Monroe. This dress has been the topic of conversation for more than 60 years, and is the first image that comes to mind when you think of Miss Monroe. Auctioned off in 2011 by Hollywood costume designer Debbie Reynolds, this simple white dress from
The Seven Year Itch fetched a huge $4.6 million; cementing its status as an icon in its own right.
Tomorrow, our own specially-designed dress will be going under the hammer to be auctioned off. So keep a look out to see how much it makes for charity, and where it ranks in the world of expensive dresses.
