This week in dresses: the LBD rules the red carpet

With an array of awards in LA and Italy including the Emmys this week, the A-listers have once again hit the headlines sporting the most striking (and expensive) gowns that they can get their hands on in order to outshine their red-carpet competition. This week has also provided us with inspiration for autumn/winter, with Emma Stone and model Chanel Iman donning gowns from this year's fall collections from Valentino and Balmain (although we're not sure we'll be stepping out in a skin-tight leather dress as Chanel did). The LBD was undoubtedly a favourite amongst the celebrity clan this week, with a range of office-chic, lavish red-carpet gowns, and even an intricate woven number, showing just how versatile our favourite little black number is.
