Zandra Rhodes for Breast Cancer Care
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and legendary designer Zandra Rhodes has created a beautiful bracelet and brooch especially for the charity. And, good news for you, they are available from Littleblackdress.co.uk!
If you don't know Zandra Rhodes then here's a little history on this fabulous woman and Team LBD favourite. She was born in in Kent in 1940 and got into designing thanks to her Mother who was a dress fitter for a Paris fashion house. Zandra's designs are known for their loud colours and vibrant prints, with her early work deemed too outrageous for British manufacturers to produce. After taking matters into her own hands she is now a national institution and she has designer for everyone from Princess Diana and Elizabeth Taylor to Debbie Harry and Kylie Minogue.
Her unique pieces created for this year's Breast Cancer Awareness campaign feature a collection of wearable bracelets in silver, gold and rose gold along with a distinctive brooch. The chunky bracelets feature oval link chains interlinked with the breast cancer pink ribbon emblem encrusted with sparkly crystals. Finished off with her signature initials 'Z' and 'R' and a bell bead, these pieces are not only beautiful but support a worthy cause.
The brooch is much more striking; the black and gold design is complete with pink ribbons and would add interest to any plain dress or jacket.
