Trends spotted on this season's red carpets and fashion shows show a return of the classic retro style of the 1930s - 1950s. Think Audrey Hepburn at 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' with chic LBDs and embellished evening wear being the norm. We hear Lily Collins is also making a Biopic, so stock up on those classic LBDs.

Love the decadence of a vintage era? Well, that's what we saw on the awards red carpets this year, celebrities simply can't get enough of sequins and tassles. Even feathers are playing a comeback. Wearing jewellery with bold plaits and large links, we saw a more 80's fun vibe returning, pairing gold coloured fashion accessories with black.

However, blue seems to be a pretty staple colour this season and doesn't seem to be going off the popularity list anytime soon with many showcasing this moody hue as a must have colour.

Red also remains a key colour choice for spring/summer 2024. Perfect for prom and cocktail dresses. The trend seems to embrace a one shoulder designer element or bow adornment. Infact, bow details are a sort-after trend for the season, the more embellished bows the merrier. Maybe opt for bow-tie jumpsuit or bag with large embellished flower?

Prints are always a firm favourite for the spring season especially pretty florals. Make an impact early by adding knee high boots to a spring party print dress and layering with an over-sized cardigan. Or add heeled sandals for a summer glamour look.

Finally, dress bold. Add brights. If you're a little fazed by colour, have an accent colour shoe or handbag with your Little Black Dress for a look straight off the Paris catwalks.
