Chic and elegant in a Chanel two-piece, or sexy and seductive in a plunging Giorgio Armani gown, Rihanna's style spans from ladylike to risqué, so there's never any predicting what she'll pull out for the red-carpet. The pop-princess exhibited her versatile and risk-taking style yet again at Monday night's Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards to accept her Fashion Icon Award, and proved she can pull off almost anything, or in this case, nothing.

The chart-topping songstress lived up to her Fashion Icon title by wearing a barely-there Adam Selman dress, that was fully-embellished with 216,000 Swarovski crystals, and although she exuded 1920s glamour with her co-ordinating headpiece and long gloves, the oh-so-sheer dress left very little to the imagination. The icon accessorised with a classic fur-stole and sexy smokey-eye make-up, which added more of that seductive Rihanna style. Here at Little Black Dress we adore the flapper-style, and although Rihanna's 1920s-inspired look may not be the most appropriate option for a dinner party, we admire her daring choice and how she has shown that the classic Gatsby-style can be sexy.
