Little Black Dress Blogger Awards

Team LBD proudly presents its first ever LBD® Blogger Awards! Each month we'll be showcasing our top ten bloggers that we've fallen in love with, for all sorts of reasons! These prestigious blogs will range from our favourite daily reads to bloggers we have enjoyed working with, those we want to be and those nominated for their sheer uniqueness (until this we had no idea what a Britophile was, let alone that we counted as one!). So there you have it, read on for the best blogs you should be coveting. This month, Little Black Dress's prestigious Blogger Award goes to...
What: Fashion & lifestyle Why: Mediamarmalade is run by Mel Mould: media mogul, fashion devotee, life lover and all round girl we want to be. From the high street's hottest finds and iconic investment pieces to Saturday night soirees and strawberry picking, Mediamarmalade is so much more than a style blog. Where: mediamarmalade.com
What: Clothing & culture Why: Super stylist and culture vulture Sara Luxe is one lady who knows how to rock a LBD. We love how Sara has turned her passion for fashion into a career and the individual, edgy stamp she puts on all the latest trends. Where: saraluxe.com
What: High-end style Why: If you love hit US series Revenge as much as the Team LBD office, you'll already recognise the face and covet the wardrobe of Ashley Madekwe. The London girl turned LA actress has a serious obsession with seamless style, neon accents and seriously good shoes. Ashley, we heart you! Where: ashley-ringmybell.blogspot.co.uk
What: Fashion & beauty Why: Ultra girlie tea dresses, the best beauty finds tried and tested and some great snaps of a very fluffy cat. Sarah of Temp Sec is a little bundle of dress-loving joy! Where: temporary-secretary.blogspot.co.uk
What: Jewellery trends Why: In the age of the fashion blogger who dons a different dress daily it's really refreshing to see someone blogging about the lesser raved about, but equally important, accessory. Beanie of In Detail gives readers an insight into the latest trends in jewellery and shows us how even the smallest detail can change your whole outfit. Where: indtl.com
What: Sensational shoes Why: Girl after our own heart and creator of Sea of Shoes, Jane Aldridge, is a self-confessed footwear fiend. And whether she's stomping the city streets in stilettos, posing for pictures in her knee-high boots with her (equally gorgeous) mother or showing just how cool those iconic smoking Prada shoes look with a Carrie-esque tutu, you can count on Jane to have you developing your very own foot fetish pronto. Where: seaofshoes.typepad.com
What: Food glorious food! Why: An Irish ex-pat living, eating and blogging in London, Niamh Shields tells it like it is when it comes to where and what to eat. From home-made chorizo burgers (yes this talented writer cooks her own too!) to Argentine-style octopus, Eat Like A Girl may be the reason Team LBD didn't fit in to their LBDs this month! Where: eatlikeagirl.com
What: Home decor Why: A clean-cut, concise and refreshingly original little space on the internet for the habitually chic and window-shopping home-owners. Design Hunter is a collection of images and ideas to inspire you to make your house a home, with a sprinkling of beautiful clothes and tantalising treats hand-picked by editor Helen. Where: designhunter.co.uk
What: Weddings and beyond Why: So much more than a pretty face, this blog follows the mantra that weddings are great (beautiful locations, dresses, shoes, bubbly and yummy food – what's not to love?) but life goes on after you've said your vows. So expect to find great tips for your big day and pictures of the most perfect of matrimonial couples as well as fab giveaways and the best suppliers for everything from decorations to DJs. Where: theprettyblog.com
What: Rule Britannia! Why: We've always been a bit barmy for Britain, but right now, more than ever, we are head over heels for our great country. And it turns out we're not the only ones with a passion for all that makes GB the best (we're talking proper tea, the Queen, British comedy, the Great British high street and er, our ability to queue. Fellow Britophile (yes it's a real thing, look it up) Melissa is a lover of all things British living across the pond and her witty little blog charts the best and even better things about our culture from yester-year right up to the here and now. Where: smittenbybritain.com
