The hottest events and style this Bank Holiday weekend

As this weekend's blissful three-day bank holiday approaches, plans of action need to be put in place to make the most of it. Although Team LBD are usually advising you fashionistas over the difficult decision of what to wear for the upcoming weekend, we're offering a little bonus on this occasion. We're bringing you the hottest events and places to visit this weekend and of course we'll be giving you a few stylish outfit suggestions too. Whether you fancy relaxing with cosmo in hand at a quirky bar or painting the town red at Notting Hill Carnival read on to find out what's hot this weekend...

Notting Hill Carnival

Carnival-goers rejoice! Notting Hill Carnival is back and filled with more music, culture, drinking and food than you could dream of. Providing venue guides to help you along the way, the two day event will take you from gastro pubs to quirky bars to vibrant nightclubs, and still leave you wanting more, hence the carnival after parties. So if you want to make the most of your bank holiday and really celebrate with a non-stop weekend, then Notting Hill Carnival is for you. Get an early night on Saturday and make the most of one of London't most anticipated parties all day Sunday and Monday. Find out more here.

What to wear...

For an all-day event, a sleek and chic jumpsuit like this Lipstick Boutique Kew Jumpsuit £80, is the perfect transitional piece to take you from a casual carnival-goer by day, to a sophisticated party-goer by night. Its simple and chic design allows your imagination to run wild with colour, so decorate yourself in blues and corals to maintain a summery vibe and opt for an over the shoulder bag, to avoid carrying a clutch all day. If you can't hack a full day in heels, then swap cute ballet pumps for a killer heel in the evening and voila, you'll be casual to glamorous in a flash!
