The Icon Behind the Dress: Taylor Swift

The seven-time Grammy Award winning pop star is not only incredibly talented in the musical department, but her timeless fashion sense is also something to be admired. Known for her classic style with her ever-changing blonde locks from tousled curls to a choppy bob, Taylor has nailed red carpet trends from the moment she hit the scene in 2006. This is one of the reasons why our Taylor dress is inspired by this young, beautiful songbird. We have seen her grow from spunky teen starlet to the now 25 year old beauty with 22 Billboard Music Awards under her belt. We are always excited to see what she will wear next. When sifting through the Taylor ensemble archives we broke down essential elements of her style to bring you our Taylor dress. She flatters her slim figure with glamorous dresses and jumpsuits at each occasion she attends, often with a pop of colour with a signature red lip, from the Brit Awards to the MTV EMA's. One piece which really stood out to us was the Rebecca Minkoff black lace dress she wore to the BMLG/PEOPLE Country After Party back in 2011. It combined the youthful playfulness thanks to the skater skirt that she embodied her image at the time and a little evening glamour. The delicate lace overlay of our simple knee length wrap dress channels her effortless femininity while the long sleeves and wrap detail incorporating an element of sophistication. The Fearless songstress has worn a vast array of LBD's over the years for both day and night, which is something we are both proud of and inspired by in the creative production process.
