Show Report: Mulberry A/W 12
Michelle Williams, Olivia Palermo and Elizabeth Olsen all jetted in to make up a front row just waiting to be impressed, perching their fashionable bottoms on benches draped with fur. Rubbing shoulders with both Anna Wintour and the two looming yetis at the side of the runway, the fashionistas looked on as a refreshing collection of textures and prints appeared in a palette of burnt orange, caramel and black.
To the tune of Scary Monsters the models at Mulberry took a walk on the wild side and embraced whatever fashion threw at them. What came this season was an abundance of Mongolian furs, bold aztec prints and statement glossy leathers - all taking their influence from the children's book Where the Wild Things Are. Chunky hand-knits, tailored tweeds and shaggy gilets were also present; naturally all teamed with the brand's signature leather bags.Speaking of which, the yeti wasn't the only fashion muse spotted at the show. After the huge success of the Alexa satchel we knew it wouldn't be long before another bag was named after a super stylish celeb. This time the style crown has been handed over to Lana Del Ray with the new Del Ray bag set to be the season's most covetable.
Known mostly for their slices of arm candy, the label's ready-to-wear clothing line is beginning to really take off and here at Team LBD we predict that you'll be taking notes straight from the Mulberry satchel and layering your little black dress with shaggy furs and printed-knit scarves come Autumn. You can get your hands on the gorgeous Del Ray bag in May, but if you can't wait until then why not check out some other of their classic leather bags here.
